recovering...
This is the second day after surgery and my shiner is just getting worse. Mostly I've been watching movies with one eye while icing the other. The surgery went well - Dr. Gausas said she got everything she could see. The results from pathology might take as much as two weeks, though, so the verdict is still out.
On Tuesday, we got back from the hospital at 8PM and neither of us realized they only sent us home with a prescription, no painkillers. The big storms we had been waiting for to cool off the hazy weather were just moving in but around 10PM we figured out what happened and started looking for 24-hour pharmacies. I gave up when after I talked to someone at an all-night Walgreen who told me he had to talk to my doctor in order to fill a prescription for Percoset - I was ready to brave it on Extra Strength Tylenol. But Michelle found a 24-hour RiteAid in Roxborough and drove out into the hail and lightning - my hero!

Hey dude...
Usually Walgreens (other pharmacies too) can give you a few doses of "emergency" meds if you have a history with them until your doc can write the scrip. This usually means a day or two's worth.. I have had it done when I ran out...
Hope things are looking up for you~!

Hey Jon --
So glad to see you felt up to blogging. I hope you're getting great pain relief now.
Sedona IS really beautiful -- AWESOME -- and I've been "taking" you with me each time I hike the red rocks.
BTW -- Primex is great, isn't it? It really is Glenside's best kept secret. Welcome to the neighborhood...
Love to you and Michelle.
Janine
